
About Attorney Chris O'Brien
Chris O’Brien joined the Law Office of Matthew W. Peterson as senior trial counsel after seven years as a prosecutor, most recently as an Assistant Attorney General in Massachusetts.
As the Managing Attorney in the Criminal Bureau’s Insurance and Unemployment Fraud Division, Chris trained other prosecutors and conducted grand jury investigations for complex white-collar cases ranging from embezzlement and money laundering to complex insurance fraud and identity theft cases.
Prior to his time at the Attorney General’s Office, Chris worked as an Assistant County Attorney in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, where he handled cases ranging from narcotics and violent crime to theft and various forms of fraud.
Before becoming a prosecutor, Chris spent six years as a tax consultant specializing in multistate corporate transaction (sales and use) taxes.
Chris brings extensive courtroom experience, a passion for litigation, and a unique legal background to every case, along with the dedication it takes to get the job done.
